One thing that helped me while I developed the strength in my hands was to start out with an older deck and then move on the a newer and then a new deck.

Michael Close's Workers Books and DVDs have many routines that are non-card using business cards, bills, some coins and several effects based on origami figures. Great stuff.

I "met" Pete in the early 70's through Lloyd Jones The Club and Petes's Leaflet. I still do a routine he outlined using a frog and a bag.

Noah Levine mentions Chuck Smith's ending. I have seen many references here on the Forum and in other places (Fisher's Bicycle Thief DVD) to Smith's routine. Is it published or commercially available?
