Re: Jason Ladanye

Interesting to me was that, in his Invisible Palm routine, he pushes the newly arriving ace to his left, rather than to the right, as in every other version of this effect I've seen. It looks really good as there is no 'sweeping' motion of his right hand over the packet. Small detail, but I love sma...

I no longer use Daryl's display, as much as I like it. Check out Doug Conn's display in the book I wrote for him - it's quick, deceptive, and uses very little table space.

Really, really sad. Ernest didn't lecture much, but I am happy to say I was at two of his lectures - at the ONYX Convention and at "52". Both were outstanding. He had a touch with the pasteboards that I can only hope to emulate someday. RIP Ernie.

Tricks of my Trade, the magic of Doug Conn - available again

I have just received a second print run of the book I wrote a dozen years ago about Doug Conn's magic. The book has been out of print for quite some time and (in my biased opinion) it is a great one! I don't have it available on my web site just yet, but email me at <!-- e --><a href="mailto:pcummin...

Today I received the master to the side steal dvd, and I'll be shipping it off for replication tomorrow. This should mean that I'll have shipable product by around October 20th. When I saw Derek Dingle perform this effect at a Tannen's Jubilee in the late '70's, he backclipped the two copper/silver coins, one in each hand, and let the four oriental coins slide off his palms onto the table. Very effective, and the way I've done it ever since...
