Re: Who is renewing Real Secrets?

Brad's post is spot on. Members of RS paid money for two things: 1. Tricks 2. Exclusivity/secrecy of the tricks Abrahamelin has taken away part of #2 Real Secrets itself does not seem to place the same value on #2 that some here do. The illusion in RS #10 was published all over the internet well be...

Re: More on Sally Morgan

Re: AOL...You've Got...David Blaine

Hmm..he uses the phrase "self-gratifying" which closely ties in with my opinion of him in recent years.

However its good to see something from him that is truly magical rather than that endurance and pseudo spiritual guff he was prone to in recent specials.

Nice one

Re: Dynamo, Magician Impossible, To Air in the US

Hmm not sure about X Factor but there's definitely a place in the world for McDonalds. And as for the stooges bit, well I'm of the opinion that folk know subconsciously at least that TV isn't quite real. When you do a decent piece of magic live its much more visceral than having seen it happen on TV...

Re: Dynamo, Magician Impossible, To Air in the US

Funny thing is when I first saw Dynamo I was less than impressed with this little kid from the streets doing store bought magic. But you know what, people love him -- all my lay friends think he's great and never stop talking about him. The David Blaine comparisons are in my opinion, lazy and wrong....

Re: Friday The 13th Scam

I take it your Soccer coaches first language isn't English. Also you'd have to be going some to go down to Scotland. Kudos for the compassion but these things have been around for years now...I find it hard to believe folk with internet access can fall for them. The other thing is never to reply to ...

Re: Mystery novels with a magic theme

Another fairly recent story worth picking up is by Scottish Crime Writer Christopher Brookymyre and is called "Attack of the Unsinkable Rubber Ducks" It surrounds the puzzle as to whether a charismatic psychic is the real deal or not. The great fun is that any one who has read Corinda will...
