Re: PLEASE HELP SUPPORT TONY ECON

I'm dismayed at the way spelling has gone down the drain. Eric DeCamps should know that the word is NOT 'slight' but 'sleight' of hand. Unfortunately this is something you see all the time. I'm dismayed.

I Give Up

Not too long ago I lost my Magic subscription because of sign-in and Magic software problems. Now the same thing is happening with iGenii. Everything worked fine until I tried to sign in today, after receiving a message that a new edition was online. I tried every user name and password I have had a...

Sounds Familiar

Really enjoyed the feature story about Yif in the latest Genii. What got me was the part about the negative treatment given him by his fellow magicians. Sounds just like the kind of response to many magicians found on this forum. Yif's treatment and the treatment often seen here just floors me. With...

Re: Live magic is on the rise ... the Supernaturalists

The Genii blasters are at it again. It would be great to see magic supported on a magic forum, but I guess that is asking for too much. Go at it. Slash away.

Re: Another Embarrassment from Alex Stone

Are you suggesting that magic can't be a subject of study? That the psychology involved in magic is somehow off limits? I'm sorry, but along with those questions I don't see the difference between this article and an article in Genii, or a magic book. In all, methods are exposed and discussed. Are m...

Let's see, I'm confused. Is giving credit the same as having permission?? And just what constitutes permission? Just being published in some book? And what is permission needed for? Only the exact object/effect? Or does some slight change mean anything goes - like making something out of metal when ...

Re: New Buick Commercial Starring ... Jason Latimer

I find it amazing - but normal for Internet writers - that a magician, and magic, can get such good exposure, and fellow magicians jump on the bandwagon to criticize, put down, the like. Get a life, people. Get off the Internet. Leave your black lives at home and stop sharing them with the rest of us.

I read posts about "exposure," especially on the Internet, all the time, and they all kind of leave me confused. I have a library of magic books at home sold by different companies and people. All "expose" magic. When I bought the books, no one asked if I was a magician. Is this ...

It's a shame that, for whatever reason - but I've been told it's because of a 'problem' between two magic clubs, and that's a shame - this convention is the same weekend as Magic at the Beach, in the same state. I can understand your viewpoint. But, I'm the one who paid you for a subscription, so perhaps it should be Genii who complains to those post offices that don't seem to deliver the mags. Disappointed with On the Slant

I found Jon Racherbaumer's discussion of "Gifts" rather interesting. Until, that is, the very end. If he had indeed felt that Eddie Fields deserved credit for the "Princess Card Trick" being published in The Jinx 75th anniversary tribute, then he should just have included his nam...
