In the real world, auction houses take 15% to 25% depending on the specific items and auction. It's not out of line. A lot of work and expense goes into putting on an auction.

Looks interesting. He's either doing a Mercury Card Fold or faking it to throw magicians off. The latter part of the video where he touches the folded card and it changes is cool. Would like to see it in person.

Look through the Genii archive online for the issue which has Milt on the cover--it was in the last 10 years (Steve Bryant wrote the article). It's easy to scroll through the thumbnails of the covers and you'll find it in two minutes or so.

Two things:

1. Marketplace rules do not allow comments on items people are selling.

2. Mahdi: we don't do auctions or best offered price here. You must set a firm price and also post your address, email, and phone number in order to sell an item.

Thanks.

While there is often some wording in the contract a dealer has to sign about not selling copies (the legal issues are murky, trust me--it's generally not a simple answer), it is usually ignored. We try to do better at the Genii convention where possible.

This is just one of many projects that the Chinese government (or local politicians) try to get rolling and stall out. I was there at the outset and from my understanding not much has been done yet. And it's been years.
