Re: Jennings 67

Like so many good magicians, Jennings was someone you really need to see in person. But the Paris tapes are the best he made.

Re: Would like to visit The Magic Circle (soon!)

Here's the problem: 1. The Circle is only open on Mondays starting from 3 pm (the library) and 5 pm (the club room). 2. A member can get you in (there's a small fee and arrangements must be made in advance) but the member must also be there. 3. Send me an email at moobooks@verizon.net and the Genii ...

There is no issue, fair use or otherwise, with the letters Mike is printing in Classic Correspondence. The original authors are long dead, the heirs have had decades to step forward (since Mike has been doing this in MAGIC for I can't even count how many years) and they have not. There is nothing sa...

Regarding copyright notices: the rights would fall to the heirs of the original writers of the letters. The copyright law changed in 1978, and for most these the pre-1978 law would apply.

Because Vernon was a bit of a sadist, and he treated those who loved him the most the worst. But Vernon was also polite, and eventually accepted Cervon at the table. John was a great guy. I was very pleased to be able to feature him on the cover of Genii. Nice humble man and also a straight shooter. Wow! Kent, you just kicked my ass for several really good reasons. :) Harry used to start halfway across the room from the deck (which was sitting on the table, or the counter at Tannens which made the trick easier since the counter was higher than a table). He would begin his spiel, gesturing with ...

Jennings and Cervon started as the best of friends: Cervon slept on Larry's couch for six months when he first went to LA (at Jennings' suggestion). Vernon was Jennings' father figure--their emotional connection was very deep. Vernon could not stand Cervon when he first came to LA. The "Castle&...

Cervon changed dates and names of things in the Notebooks. The originals clearly show erasures and things written over them. Cervon's "Aerodynamic Aces" is EXACTLY Bill Miesel's trick with the addition of the invisible palm theme, the tent vanish, and the rub a dub vanish. These are all th...
