Re: Uri

I have high respect for magic and the magical art. One of the important things about it is the fact that it is an honest art, even though it leans on deception. For us magicians, deception becomes not only a tool but an obsession so I could see why you are so impressed with Geller's character and mo...

Ever try "comedy of errors" from the Vernon tribute to Nate Leipzig? It has an enormous impact on audiences if you utilize your acting skills right.

The Hypnotic Power of the Jokers from Sonata by Tamariz.
Also, I don't think anybody mentioned The Joker Trick from Ultar Cervon. I used it many times to great results.

Re: jennings books

In fact, I was never aware of Jennings '67 being your publication. If ever I saw the title (which I don't recall seeing, although I regularly read both Genii & Magic magazines) I thought it was a way people refered to LJ on cards & coins. Sorry, but true, and I am ashamed, especialy since LJ...

Re: Jewish Magicians

Thanks. The site Ken Trombly refered me to is more than I could ask for. This is a wonderful and enormous task.
Any idea on who published or operates it?
Are all the details there accurate?
If so...

Have each audience member write down on a piece of paper what card they are thinking about. Wrap the deck with a rubberband and throw it on a random member of the audience with force....

share, keep, share, keep...share! One more presentation of mine. Someone picks a card, remembers and places it back into the pack. The cards are shuffled (by me, of course - using my one hand false shuffle :) ). I tell a story about a card cheat who deals croockedly. At the end of the story, the onl...

Re: What is your favorite opener?

When I teach, one of the most important drills is for the student to come up with ways to introduce himself (his character for the performance) with magic - an opening effect that will leave the audience with a clear image of the performer's character and subsequently, his magical qualities and abil...

I do a story in...HEBREW... Lot's of wordplay. I have a card selected and the story is told as I ask them to stop me when I reach their card. I tell the story with the entire pack. (minus 1) Their card is found, after a run of all the cards, inside the cardbox that was on the table/floor the whole t...

Re: Scriptwriting: How Do You Do That?

When I got the magazine, I was so happy to see my favorite Juan on the cover so I raced for the article... but couldn't get to it...there were so many goodies that had to be read before. This magazine is amazing. "How did you do that?" article is great. This line can be a trigger for some ...
