"Great things coming next year?" Like what, a bar betcha with several piles of matchsticks? "Imagine never-before-seen miracles delivered every month directly to your mailbox. Imagine no further Real Secrets is here." I gave them a $144 chance, and they had 12 months to deliver ...

We need a "Like" button. Sadly I will be surprised if the desired de-parasitization occurs. Persons like this often attract like minded followers.

I swear this thread needs video accompaniment. Perhaps Hitler running around the dealers room, or the Fawlty Towers Hitler scene, to the accompaniment of the Benny Hill theme.

Re: Has the Real Work on John Scarne's Ace Cutting Been Tipped?
Hmm, I could be mis-remembering...but I don't think so. The trick described would be the card to mouth. And it would be the later edition since it was in English, and I'm sure I would never have had an original. The one I had was in English, hardcover, with a paper dustjacket showing a pair of hands...

In Gautiers Magic Without Apparatus what is claimed to be Scarnes card to mouth is described. I don't have the book anymore to look up if Cutting the Aces was included.

I got curious by the gossip and sent them $160 on faith alone. That wasn't good enough, so it was refunded with the motivation that I should have been prescient enough to be aware of a mandatory requirement that they had kept secret. Fair enough, I guess.

Another, I think from Scarnes book (?) is to sew a rolled up bill into the hem of a kercheif or silk. Then roll the target bill into a tube, switch under the cloth and have the spectator hold it until the last moment, then you grab a corner and flick the cloth, vanishing the bill.

Sooo they had people lined up for the intro letter who either backed out or were never involved. Or "endorsed" means "who Real Secrets is made up of", not who's actually creating it.

You might want to update your auction to let prospective buyers know if it does or does not include the necessary dye tube, lest you get a buyer giving you bad feedback.

The best way to sucker magicians in to something is to say it's a big secret, and to charge a high price. It never fails.

Info requst:: CW Moth in Wallet trick.
I'm looking for any information about a rumored Collectors Workshop trick called the moth in wallet. I'm assuming this is something like the butterflies and fan, but with a wallet and moth. Right now all I have is the name, and I'd like to know more.
Thanks,
