Sounds workable - see how well you can hide the tap action to get the gaff in place during performance.

Thanks, I'm enjoying considering the blocking/moment that goes with the method. Vernon seems to have made a lifelong study of excellence.

BTW Slydini used that idea for a different effect. :)

Thanks, you might get some better information about the clip from David Ben. He's a frequent visitor to this forum. Recalling Vernon's other advice I was half expecting him to have an ashtray down to his right.

The force sounds sensible. Where did you find that mentioned?

I keep thinking that I should annotate this book and self publish it. I suspect I know this book better than anyone else. I studied it backwards, forwards, zig zag and inside out. I'd go with "fascination" more than "facilitation" for the iCards - more the way a layman thinks - fine for stories but not so practical for deception.

Maybe a q-card type printing overlay so cards look different when seen though a virtual reality device would be fun.

Yes, but only if in the audience's mind that impression is still firmly in the world of fantasy. Otherwise, rightly or wrongly, it's not magic but technology. So it might be cute cook to fake up a "card computer" box that looks to be full of machinery and circuits - you slide the pack in ...

That's what a lay audience is supposed to think or imagine. The job here is to get ordinary paper cards to present that impression in performance.

The "icons" shared what works them - usually without much of the design/verification data - so take it with as much context as you can. IMHO exposing a possible method as gag is not a theory so much as a ploy. If you've got the audience engaged they are not thinking "how" but &qu...
