Re: Jennings 67

Richard and fellow magi, I have written in the past regarding my late friend Bill Miesel. I so appreciate those that mention his name. I miss the guy a lot. I will say that he was so humble. He never mentioned this to me regarding any routine or effect that was taken from him. Still, if this was the...

Re: Mind, Myth & Magick by T.A. Waters

See posts from February 2016. I still stand on my recommedation! You should have it. Search for a better price. Keep in mind, as I did years ago, that price will change significantly. It's that good. No, you will not 'do' or perform most of these effects but you WILL gain secrets that will open many...

Also, Harrison...you should note that the integrity of all of Fechter's were kept intact, but I added not only easier, but more up-to-date methods of controls...so this is not solely "copied" but I offered easier methods to accomplish the same thing. In addition, the Card on the Ceiling, ...

Re: Wanted: To legally buy used Precursor PDF

Richard, That was kind of my point I was trying to relate to Chris. I only know this side of the story. Ed let Bill basically run with this magazine. As far as I know, Ed Eckl is still alive. Someone should contact him. I last talked to him after Bill died and expressed my concern over this rushed e...

Re: Wanted: To legally buy used Precursor PDF

Chris, I don't know about all the legal stuff regarding this issue but I did know Bill Miesel well. I am a friend of his from here in Erie, Pa. True, he didn't want Precusor bound, digitized, etc. He was in his ways with this stuff. Stuff, I guess, some might call 'old school '. Regardless, when he ...

Check out Osterlind's Imp pad. Watch the video from mind mysteries volume 4 I think. Do it as he teaches and you will kill with this.

Best,

John,
Good for you. I have been reading mine for years now. When I see posts about searching for this gem, I feel so glad that I have one. What a steal for that price.

Re: Do you remove your dust jackets? I need one!

Jason--you might be surprised to discover that magic book lovers won't easily part with their dust jackets. If I were you, I'd borrow an L & L copy from a friend and take the dust jacket to a copy place like Kinkos/Fed Ex. Just have the folks at the front desk do the job for you on similar type...

Hello Philippe,
This question also came up here in 2008. Please seek information on Dr. Franklin v. Taylor, The Phoenix and also; " My Best" by J.G. Thompson, jr. Page 111. Hope that helps. Wishing all will be well in Paris.

Best to you,

You are welcome Jeff. I know how frustrating it can be when an effect pops into the mind and you search your library endlessly. Too me, that's the real magic of this forum. Thanks Genii.

Re: Source for this 'force'

The effect is called The Voodoo card. It can be found in Guy Hollingworth's book, Drawing Room Deceptions page 14 ..the prologue. Also, see The art of Astonishment by Paul Harris, vol. 3, page 303. The effect is based on a Steranko routine. Hope this helps.

Glad you posted that Richard. It was actually a fantastic read. I was very glad mr. Osterlind provided info. They both died young really. Nice to have this history about those in the performing business.

I simply love this effect. I have put in the hours of study that it really needs for years now. Here is just one thing that I always do and say when the climax happens: " it just goes to show how amazing the human mind works. The lady over there chose the queen of ---. We are all kind of guided...

Field sobriety test by Paul green. Elmwood magic. I did a Halloween show with it based on a witch test. The lenz law principle can easily be masked by presentation. I am sure I am not the only one to think of producing a giant ball bearing falling out of the tube at the end. Best, Russ Raven Polizzi

How about THE EUPHORIA WALLET

Or The ROACH WALLET?

The roach sneaks in the smallest of places, and definitely surprises!

No need for a dangerous animal .....

Lou gave me a private lesson on the pitch in 1992. I was so fooled that it felt so good. The guys from Buffalo, Ny could chime in here and tell you so much more of this man than myself. What I can say is that when he came to Erie , pa to visit my friend, the late Bill Miesel, he always taught me ite...

I talked to Bill around Thanksgiving. He jokingly told me that he would be next to be read about in the obit section of TLR although he did that all of the time. He was feeling good and was going out to eat with family 3 x/ week. To see his library was a treasure. It literally took up the entire hou...

NICK TROST

I received a phone call today that Nick Trost had died today 10/23/08. Nick made a trip to Erie, Pa every Oct. to hang out with Bill Miesel and some of us. It was always great. Nick loved to session and talk magic. He was diagnosed with terminal Brain cancer around April of this year. I, for one, wi...
