Re: 2009 Los Angeles Conference on Magic History
Even if I never get to attend such a cool gathering of magical minds, it's still reassuring and nice to know that people can concert their efforts to bring about such a wonderful event. It's things like this convention and the Magic Castle which help make me feel proud to consider myself a "mag...

Great stuff, Mr. Lewis. A lot of this philosophy could be used by teachers (such as myself) to good effect in a classroom. I especially like your explanation of "suspension of disbelief." Thanks for sharing!

I recently received my "ConCam Monte" (thanks Magic Apple) and I'm quite pleased with everything about the effect. I recall Paul stating that when he places the name "ConCam" onto something it's because he considers the effect to be extra special. I've been working on a couple ot...

I've always had great dealings with Hollywood Magic. There's a lot of magical history associated with that store and some real good guys working there were always helpful during my trips there. I hope it's only a temporary thing.

I've got a Dean's Set from Schoolcraft which I believe came with an "unexpanded" shell. The unexpanded shell helps by allowing the face of the coin to look exactly like the regular coins. The shell sits perfectly on any of the coins that came with the set. It doesn't look like a little hat...

Wow, I've got several routines which rely upon gaffed cards which I really have grown to enjoy performing over the years. I may have to stock up on a few extra sets of my favorite gaffed cards just in case there's something to the idea that these cards may become increasingly more difficult to obtai...

Holy Cow! What a price for such a fabulous system. The FKHO is made in small batches from what I've heard, so jumping on this would be a great investment for somebody. The Genii magazine issue with Bruce Cervon on the cover from several years ago has an excellent article where he mentions his routine. Josh did a great job getting the show back on track; however, as an arm chair QB, I wish that he would have used the method that Doc Eason uses of having both cards placed back into the deck for the fusion.
