Steinmeyer's CONJURING August 2016
I've been playing with the August submission "My Word". If you haven't seen it, its a wonderfully scripted effect that is as clever as it is entertaining. While practicing I realized that one word in the quotes "IN" is not contained in the decoder quotes. I'm very glad I discover...

Re: Houdini & Doyle
I must admit this show really grew on me thanks to the amazing job by the three leads. The back and forth between Doyle & Holes was perfect as was Houdini's cocky demeanor. For a show that played fast and loose with the facts there were times that it surprised me with its accuracy. The most nota...

Penn & Teller Magic Set
When I got this I was very disappointed with many of the choices they made. After reading Teller's thoughts on it it helped me understand where there were coming from a little more. My biggest lingering question is why release it WITHOUT their video instructions? The small introduction on the enclos...

Re: Don't Forget: Tonight "The Illusionists" on NBC
I was a big fan of the touring show and the way it highlighted the different personalities and styles of the performers. I was worried that it was going to be next to impossible to do that in the limited time of a TV show chock full of commercials. I was proven wrong with the brilliant opening. Hobs...

Re: Looking forward to the Genii Convention
Hello everyone, I'm going to the Genii Convention and am very excited. In a way, I travel for a living so I have very little time to spend reading and practicing magic, so I figured the convention would give me a concentrated dose of what I need most--more magic and fun. I look forward to putting f...

Who knows what the hell Juan Mayoral was thinking. I've heard all kinds of second-hand reports. Not to discount this thou...

I like the idea of the winning numbers being posted somewhere to pick up the prizes (registration?) so people do not have to be present. The dealer room idea is a nice addition but should be a perk for those that purchase something not a punishment for those that don't so it would be best to separat...

I'm pretty sure the Uri we met at the Genii Bash would not only sign it but sit down and break bread with Randi. I doubt if the feeling is mutual but that would be the lecture to end all lectures...a sit down/debate between them.
