On a bicycle ride in Bali, we stopped in a small village just as school was getting out. As a group of foreigners, we were approached by young school children. I picked up a stick and a stone and did things I would normally do with a pen and a coin.

Does anyone have recommendations about magic in Osaka? Although I have been to Japan many times, I have not yet been to Osaka and hope to spend a few days there in December or January.

If you plan on visiting Magic Land, be warned that they moved about 1.5 years ago and all of the English websites with directions are out of date. Thanks for the update on the move of Magic Land. Right when I finally thought I could find the old place after going there (and getting lost every time) every 2 or 3 years for the last 25 plus years, they move it. I will have my wife or daughter translate the map for me.

In a recent Nerdist podcast, comedian and actor Aziz Ansari mentioned his interest in magic. He also said that the stage design for his latest Netflix show was based on an old magic poster.

Jon Hendricks is known for taking instrumental solos and putting words to them. A Jimi Hendrix solo with lots of feedback and smashing of the guitar would go along well with Woody's rants.
