Re: Jeff Busby Passes Away

In the early 70's, I was in Phoenix and called Danny Dew to ask if he had any Paul Fox copper cups made up. He did. I asked if I could come get them and he told me that he and Melba and their guests, Ross Bertram, and his wife were just leaving for dinner. I still can't believe that I was that close...

FSH: The Mind and Magic of David Berglas by David Britland. I believe that, when I bought this, it was the last copy for sale by a dealer in the US. I am the only owner and the book is in excellent condition. It has been in a smoke-free home and handled with the respect it deserves. I am asking $500...

It took me a while to get my bearings, but now I see that it is brilliant stuff. I have already received my pens from Amazon and started marking cards. I am 70 years old and still waiting for algebra to come up, but this math I can handle. Another winner. Now, hurry and finish the next one.

Looking for Bob Farmer's wonderful "Headhunter". Some of you received it in your first Genii Convention portfolio, compliments of Professor Farmer. I did, but my feeble mind prevents me from locating it. I have the original, and a re-written one, and have manged to misplace both.

I reveived Phantoma from Japan today but no English instructions. Can anyone clue me in on how to make the little house rattle? One of the illustrations appears to show a finger either pressing on or sliding the bottom. I am stumped.

A bit of worthless trivia:

You know, of course, that Bill Goodwin is the librarian at the Academy of Magical Arts Library (aka the Magic Castle). That library does not have a complete file of Penumbra. If I ever get number four, I am going to leave mine to the library.

If you have a decent ink jet printer, you should be able to scan your images and print them directly onto blank faced cards. Saves a lot of cutting, glueing, and frustration.
