Why would having them professionally bound decrease their value? Some collectors like the periodicals "as issued" so sometimes binding them together can cause them to be not as desirable. This is not always the case but i like to edge on the side of caution. It does depend because I have ...

magicam, I think we agree on most points. A hard drive crashing is statistically more likely than fire/water/other damage to a physical library or collection in someone's house. You might want to consider getting the PDF version of the first 75 years of Genii. http://www.lybrary.com/genii-the-conjurors-magazine-volumes-1-75-1936-2012-p-576309.html The advantage of the PDFs is that you do not need any Internet connection which can cause problems at times with online archive...
