Re: FISM Starts off with a Narcissistic Bang
Just read the welcome note from the FISM program. What a whiney insecure little man Derek Lever is. I'm appauled that FISM leaders allowed that defamous article to be printed in the program.

Jim,
In my case the insurance company needed an art appraisal to set the premium, but again both pieces were over the value to cover it under the homeowners policy.
db and photos are used if/when the insurance co challenges the claim.

Re: Insurance question
What Dustin said. I just went through a similar review of coverage. Most insurance companies cover incidentals under the homeowners policy. When individual items exceed $10k, they place it under a special policy (jewelry, art, etc.) Dustin's database and photographs is a valuable way to support any ...

I find the red ink issue to be very disturbing... About two year's ago, the focus was to build a cash war chest and they did that well. To see a huge drop in cash over last year is disconcerting, especially with MacPherson out of the picture. If I recall correctly, the AMA controller said throughou...

I miss the Castle. Where else can you go in the world to see stellar magic 6 hours a night, 7 days a week, near 365 a year - and I ain't just talking showrooms! I first saw Steve Valentine before his Crossing Jordan days. Let's just say, I saw him more than once that night - out the door and back in...

R.I.P - Charles "Prentice" Taylor
A dear friend of mine and wonderful magician, collector and lover of magic, Prentice Taylor, passed away in Dec. 16, 2010. He was 79. I first met Prennie at a family party when I was a young kid of 10. He was the first to pull a coin from my ear and every meeting thereafter, I eagerly awaited his ne...

Score another for Dustin. Those eligible for fellowships, Magician of the Year, et al don't necessarily perform during the nomination year.

Correct me if I'm wrong Mark...
