Yes, he would, and did, use it in the Hoyle book as would be expected. But in other contexts, I think he would probably use the more common and familiar 'Pinochle'. I don't see why he would ever use 'Penuckle', unless of course ... That's exactly what Foster would have done if he were trying to thro...

Why you would want to do so is beyond me, as the back design on these cards is without a doubt the ugliest I have ever seen!

I suggest you find a deck of THESE and make your own gaffed court card.

That's what I did.

I actually saw Reveen do the Knight's tour live. It was the best I have ever seen do it. Mind you the fact that I have never seen anyone else do it may have some bearing on that matter! I too have only seen one performance of the Knight's tour. It was not done by a magician, but by Chess Grandmaste...
