Re: Hank Lee
Times are very tough for brick and mortar magic dealers, and ALL magic dealers. The desperation brought on my the possibility of economic catastrophe sometimes leads men to criminal acts, or suicide. If Hank Lee is guilty, then a little good old pity might be in order. There's a difference, albeit ...

Seems like a bloody good project, sans the mysterious owner. Maybe we'll all be invited to an old house on an island, like in Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None".

Ever watch the Petty/Penn show and how it's clear these two know nothing about magic history? They are quite ignorant. That's BAD for people that review products. I watched a Petty dvd and couldn't believe what a horrid performer he is. I'm actually not surprised they turned out to be lying, unethic...

@Dustin Stinnet: It takes some major digging to find a ten-year-old thread to resurrect? You 'assume' quiet a bit. First off, a google search brought this up. Do you know anything about search engine and Google? Second, you assume the goal was to "resurrect"? You must spend your time on co...

Dustin, do you only perform new magic in fear someone may say "do you realize that trick is over 200 hundred years old?"

If they don't like books, some guy named Coughingman or something like that, has a lovely video ( now on DVD ) called "Basic Basic Card Magic". It teaches the proper way to do the essential sleights, without using sprays. Magic has a way of standing still, but it's sad when it goes backwar...

Roy Walton's Card Warp is an incredible piece of magic. Some things are best left alone.
Re: Card Warp
I watched this recently at the club. The "finale" takes away, doesn't add to, the beauty that is Card Warp.
Seems like something the kiddies would come up that people in the know would laugh at.

Anyone that ever sat at Vernon's feet knows exactly what eh'd say about The Asher Twist.

This is the type of magic he hated.

The suck ups on the Cafe are haling Brooks as if he was the Cecil B. DeMille of the magic world. He runs an online forum, where he and his goon squad staff get kickbacks in order to promote their newest products. Brooks is more like P. T. Barnum.

This is filler material. As such, it should be taught as a freebie in a magazine. Another exmaple of Magicins selling crap.
