If they don't like books, some guy named Coughingman or something like that, has a lovely video ( now on DVD ) called "Basic Basic Card Magic". It teaches the proper way to do the essential sleights, without using sprays. Magic has a way of standing still, but it's sad when it goes backwar...

The suck ups on the Cafe are haling Brooks as if he was the Cecil B. DeMille of the magic world. He runs an online forum, where he and his goon squad staff get kickbacks in order to promote their newest products. Brooks is more like P. T. Barnum.

I have all of the L&L DVD's. I like to read novels. Magic books don't explain things very well. Ever read the Jennings book by Maxwell? POOR writing at best.
