I saw the die and punch at Haines House of Cards once. That's where the cards were made I believe and where I picked up my deck many years ago.

Re: Penn & Teller Fool Us

He added the soda can appearance and the sponge balls I think. But in my opinion it was not an improvement. Because the can that appeared (full size can) and the glass (mini-size) were incompatible. When Paul poured the soda from the can it filled the glass (barely) and was obviously empty afterward...

The Bammo Tarodiction Toolbox is a real bargain. If you enjoy the "thinking" part of magic - understanding the principles, possibilities and applications - then this is for you. And if you want something that will let you run quickly (with no real understanding of "why does this work&...

You can turn them into a $20 download!!?? Damn, I've missed the boat on that. Incidentally, addendum #3 is coming out shortly and it is really cool: the spectator does all the shuffling and dealing--you never touch the cards--and he deals himself a straight flush and three royal flushes. Or at least the greatest single performance of card magic I have ever seen. I only saw this fellow perform once but that was enough. I have ...

Re: DA Ortiz ala Carte!

It's really good, isn't it? I hope you note the differences between the written description and Dani's performance--that's typical of the loose way in which he does his material. Yes - I like the "carefree" way that he sets up the deck. Very good and it removes any chance of suspicion whi...

THE FOURTH COINCIDENCE in the February 2017 issue is an excellent effect and in my opinion well worth the cost for the issue. Origami Wallet - Fujiwara Kuniyasu

I purchased "Origami Wallet" from Seo Magic and really like the effect. I was able to perform it after just a few hours of practice (the DVD instruction is pretty effective). One of the best things is that I can make up my own wallet using paper and give this away afterwards. This has gone...

Prior Commitment as part of a routine

An effect that I really like is PRIOR COMMITMENT (PC hereafter) from Simon Aronson’s book “Try the Impossible”. In this book Simon points out that after performing PC you will end up with exactly nine cards. These are the original nine cards from the top of the deck at the beginning. If you perform ...
