Re: Mike Caveney's new book
Mike, as you know last month while at Deans shoppe I was telling him how honored I was that you included me in your book! When I told him about the effect with the 52 decks he told me that he had seen it on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and together we found it on you tube! You can't imagine how gr...

Wow, really fun routining Tom!! I thoroughly enjoyed the routines!!
Re: Erdnase
On a side note, has anyone here handled decks from back in Erdnases' era and compared it with the decks that we're used to handling today? In terms of size, card stock, etc. Were moves harder to execute on the card stock from back then? I'm just curious.

My first memories of Glen were from the That's Incredible show! I still remember how mindblowing his skills were!! It was a great pleasure to meet him a few times over the years and to see him perform live! My condolences go out to Frances and their family. RIP Glen!

Thanks for the plug David! Yes, the film LOOKS AMAZING!! I can't vouch for the story though.
Yeah Ian, they were so damn strict with their visitor policy. Embra's well represented in the film!

I only met Ray once in Hollywood Magic and can attest to his very humble and sweet nature. He took the time to teach me his stack, right then and there! As a note of interest, Gordon Bruce told me last year that Ray had sent him all of his collections to look after, and that he felt very honoured th...

Yes, Edward, they do. Voldemorts bone looking wand is pretty cool as it stays in place by outward pressure from your forefinger and little finger! Cho's wand is very magical looking as well.

Great wands!!
I just got back from London, where I picked up a wand from the 'Noble Collection' located in Hamleys. They sell replicas of ALL of the magic wands of the characters from Harry Potter. The wands are gorgeous!! resin replicas, with metal rod inserts - solid with a good weight to them (the balance poin...

I could imagine that the photos might have been too dark, or 'busy', or too light, for Andrews to conclude that he should have them converted to line drawings. This would keep all focus on the hands.

wow, 8 minutes of entertainment with one effect (well, with subplots along the way). A true lesson in how much entertainment you can get from a single effect, when you embrace the performer in you. That in comparison to someone who simply slams out a ton of tricks in one sitting, where they simply r...

I actually storyboarded Michael performing a proposed illusion designed by David Copperfield for Michael's tour in 91 or 92. I didn't see the tour so don't know if that illusion was in there. I also remember Michael Ammar teaching him some magic privately. I suppose other magicians on here did the s...

Ahhh, I know who, just from having lived here in Edinburgh the past month. He's an American that lives in the UK, if I'm not mistaken. He just had a run at the Fringe arts festival here in Edinburgh. Never met the man though, and heard that he'd throw you out of his show if he knows you're a magician.
