Lets not forget Blackstone Jr. And his full scale full evening magic show. And Mark Wilson's Magic Circus TV Specials. Along with guest appearances that he did in the 50's 60's and 70's. If people here want to attribute a second golden age of magic to Doug Henning I don't think that magic has had a ...

I'm not a pickpocket, either genuine or fraudulent, but my impression from listen to others is not the same as yours. I have heard that Dunn's act was mostly stooged. If I remember right - A stooge is a person that "traveled" with the act and was paid by the performer to act like a member...

In my opinion Magic as a craft and perhaps as a performing art is unexplained science plus theater.

I don't think gambling demos are magic or magical. They are a display of skill. They are awesome, but not magic, to me. Well, I have seen a lot of different kind of performers do gambling expo acts. And I have seen some that are very magical but I guess that depends on the person doing it and their...

Well Tom I guess we have a different opinion on floating an object and theater. I have seen people do the zombie ball and all there is to fool people is a magician moving a ball around on a stick. Considering how many magicicians have done just an OK job with the zombie ball at conventions. Doing music dove acts. As I said above many magicians did an ending with a pea and a shot glass in different ways. Also the bluff move of covering the shell with the pea with a glass or other kind of container like a box - there is a good chance that it go's back to the early days of the shellgame when it was a swindle.
