Re: Wayne Dobson in Genii

I am pretty sure that sometime in the 80s they "skipped" some months in the numbering of the issues to help them catch up because they were so far behind. The issues came out, they just skipped the months in the numbering. That would explain the missing issues.

The Slydini method above is essentially the method Bob White used in his Magic Cards routine He used his Flash Double for the displays which look very natural in that context. Look in "It's a Matter of Style" p.6

I don't know that Andy's real identity is as big of a mystery as people seem to think. I think if you really want to find out you could. When I was younger I had the opportunity to spend quite a bit of time with many older magicians. I didn't appreciate them because they weren't doing the cool flibity-jibity stuff that I was into at the time. All these years later I can now see the influence they had on me despite myself. A short lis...

In Volume 1 Number 5 of Talisman is Roger Rittner's "The New Wind-Up Deck". In the description he states that he can't remember who originally showed it to him but has found few people who had heard about it. That issue is dated April 3, 1970.

This sounds similar in concept to a coin routine Tim Glancey had. He said the coin was invisible on one side. It was a spellbound type routine but he switched the coin for nothing while pretending to turn the coin over and mimed holding the invisible coin.
