Re: new deck faro
I usually break all my new decks with at least 16 faros. Does the job:) Remember that the secret is in the precision and the smoothness, not in the strength.

bic to matchbox trick?
hey there,
I'm trying to find that trick which...I think, was published in Genii a while back? Or was it in another magazine??
You take (apparently) a bic razor and change it instantly into a matchbox.
Any idea when that was published? Anyone?
Thanx,
Seb

"You might be a magician if..."
hey there, heres a funny list I saw somewhere on facebook. Thought some of you might enjoy it! Seb ---------------------------------------------------- You might be a magician if 1. Your best pickup line is "Pick a card." 2. You use the word "effect" rather than "trick"...

Re: regular assembly or O'henry?
It is intended for laymen, definitely. I know the keyword for laymen is "simple", no question about it. But I wasnt really looking for direction on this one, I was really just wondering what your preference is, and why? And Jonathan, by the way, I was beeing quite sarcastic about the dove ...

Re: regular assembly or O'henry?
Yes Jonathan, I thought about a dove apparition at the end but a puppy? I think youre beeing ridiculous. And no... my patter doesnt really give any motivation to have a kicker at the end... But it looks cool... So I guess you're not a fan of the O' Henry finish? Why not? Just doesnt make sen...

regular assembly or O'henry?
Hey there, It seems I've become obsessed with playing with ace assemblies and Jazz Aces variations lately. What in your opinion is better? The regular ending or the O' Henry kicker? Here's a pretty good one if you havent seen it before. French guy named Arnaud Chevrier (sometimes known as "Twin...

Re: travelling by plane
Thx for the recommendations. I think I'll just forget about the flash paper for that particular gig, though. I'll be there for 2 days and I can live without it this time. But I'll certainly remember this thread the next time I have to take the plane!
Thx,
Seb

Re: travelling by plane
Thanks David, That helped me a little. I'll make sure to check out the link. And I'll be over there for 3 days only, so I'll just bring one suit and a few extra shirts in case. As for the flash paper issue..... couldnt I just take the chance and put a few fresh sheets somewhere between the pages of ...

I'm not used to flying by plane so heres the thing; 1)Is there anything in a closeup magic case that could cause a problem at the airport? I'm thinking flash paper, fire wallet (along with the lighter fluid!!)? Probab...

Re: Berglas Effect .... WOW...
Since when is what you talk about in your patter the same as what you actually do? Eeeeeexactly... Carlo Morpurgo said "The use of stooges is not fair to the public." Really? Why not? What's the difference between using sleight of hand or using a stooge? The effect is everything isn't it?...
