Probably not, as the issue's already been printed. I'm sure there'll be a correction and/or an apology in the next issue, certainly.

Agreed, but unless the audience has a clear understanding of where the aces start out (i.e. one in each pile), it's still more gambling demo than assembly.

Re: Buildup to Ace Assembly in routine
Is there some published precident for a routine that leads up to the assembly effect? Has this theme been explored: However one shuffles then deals out the cards - all four of a kind are in teh same (and then selected) pile. Looking for references rather than reinvent this particular wheel. How is ...

So where does Milt Kort's "This is Centers (?)" fit in? That's the effect the Ortiz routine is based on, according to Cardshark.

Not to be a pest, but the message itself is fairly political. A perfect example of the elitism or illiteracy of the left? How else are you supposed to address that?

The reason I asked initially is that I recognize those two hand clips from a short film Scarne made way back when (with HILARIOUS narration). I thought Richard was implying that Scarne had someone ghosting for him in the original film. If he was referring to the fact that you also used clips of Fred...

I'm not talking about the footage where you can only see the hands (and most of that isn't Scarne, either). Well, if it ain't Vernon, it doesn't belong in that montage, period. The other stuff is beautiful, agreed. Meanwhile, between the bottom dealing and the two card transpo, which "most of&...

This past year at the Buffalo 52 Paul Gertner performed a deck switch that, if memory serves, was directly out of Al Baker (you can look for it in Annemann's 202 Methods of Forcing). The images behind the caricature are to express magic in general, they weren't intended to represent his career... and it is a caricature, not a portrait.
