They sell itand a bunch of other surprisingly good magic stuffin the 100 yen ($1) shops in Japan. The equivalent of the Dollar Stores in Canada, with the same Chinese supplier.

Not a bad idea. I saw Dr. Sawa do it on tv with mini tomatoes in his garden.

The original shumai trick was sold by "MadMagic". I bought it at Tokyu Hands, and it looks perfect too.

I tried double stick tape and 3M post-it glue stick and ended up coming back to wax. A tiny flattened spot in 2 opposite corners. It's invisible and just the right tackiness.

Besides the fact that most people in North America have probably never seen a shuumai, the patter for the trick is based on a Japanese pun.
"kore de oshimai" means "this is the end", so in this case when the trick is over you say "kore de oshuumai".

Henley, The USPCC letter at the beginning of the thread indicates that is only trademarked areas -- the image printed on the backs of the card and the Ace of Spades... N. I was thinking that completely removing the (trademarked) back design could be considered an "alteration". Probably not.
