The Move is also described in Cardshark of Darwin Ortiz in his routine Time Piece on page 120. Daryl presented had also some ideas (tricks) for the move during his last world tour, but I don't know if the move itself is in the notes.

Michael close has also a version of the card in box. It is called "The Big surprise". It is on his tape (vol.4) "Too Close - the stand up magic of Michael Close"

Vernon's 'Follow the leader' is indeed in Greater Magic. You can find it on page 578 of the Kaufman and Greenberg edition. (The card stars chapter)

I have to agree that the (false) shuffle Steve Forte used, is not a full deck false shuffle. I assumed it was a full deck false shuffle, because he let somebody name any four of a kind and then produced it from the shuffled deck.
