They look like nice cups, but with the video showing a top view, they look small. What size final load do they take?

Re: Convention Session Etiquette?

You might want to get a feel for the session first. If it looks like a show and tell, maybe not participate and just be an onlooker. You could just have a disclaimer before you start that you're performing items from books.

Re: Jeff Busby Passes Away

The price of the Bertram cups went way up due to an eBay auction where 3 people decided they wanted Bertram cups a number of years ago. That auction closed at something like $2200. Pete Biro put his up and got $1500, so figuring there were 3 people I put my set up for $1700 and they were gone in an ...

Steve, I think I know what you ordered and agree. Multiple videos, that weren't all that easy to access in the first place. It might have taken me a couple tries to be able to watch them, it almost seemed like they were filmed that way for a DVD.

Bob White was telling me Charlie Miller swore by the Charles Bertram pass. Anyone familiar with it? It's in a book by C. Lang Neil. Charlie told him the description was very good, accompanying pictures terrible.

Also regarding Howie and his tiny, tiny hands. I was bemoaning the fact that I have small hands so Howie bet his were smaller, they were but by just a little. He asked if I've ever read Erdnase, to which I said yes, and he then became a living version, showing me about 15 to 20 moves out of the book...

I'll check 52 Memories and see if it's in that book. Another very interesting approach is by John Guasteferro called Famous Aces. It's in his book
Second Storm, I believe on DVD also.

Bill, I was meaning Don's performance. If he pulled out a pocket knife and opened it, and then stabbed the bag, that would be nowhere as dramatic and interesting as him using a switchblade. Plus he got a laugh or two with a comment about the knife. I do find the comments about people being uneasy ab...

I've always maintained that nobody should undertake any faro work for any reason whatsoever that requires a specific interlace of the cards if they can't do it perfectly 100% of the time. Pulling the halves apart to re-try for a desired interlace is as good as saying "oh - excuse me, I have to...

Some pretty high prices. I contacted a couple of sellers about a collectors edition of vol 4, which at one time was drawing reasonable money, but most said they have collectors editions (singles) that won't move at $200. Check with some of the book sellers, you can probably put a set together.
