Re: "Everyday" objects that aren't any more

Bill, I was meaning Don's performance. If he pulled out a pocket knife and opened it, and then stabbed the bag, that would be nowhere as dramatic and interesting as him using a switchblade. Plus he got a laugh or two with a comment about the knife. I do find the comments about people being uneasy ab...

Re: Published Gambling moves Vs Magicians Sleights

I've always maintained that nobody should undertake any faro work for any reason whatsoever that requires a specific interlace of the cards if they can't do it perfectly 100% of the time. Pulling the halves apart to re-try for a desired interlace is as good as saying "oh - excuse me, I have to...

Some pretty high prices. I contacted a couple of sellers about a collectors edition of vol 4, which at one time was drawing reasonable money, but most said they have collectors editions (singles) that won't move at $200. Check with some of the book sellers, you can probably put a set together.

Jason England has a touch with Daryl's Triumph Display that he tipped in his At the Table lecture. As it turns out Daryl was in the front row of that lecture. Paul Harris and I were discussing some of our first magic and mail order houses. We both came up with Vick Lawston as our first catalog. He a...

There's a few effects that have been released with magnets within rope or velvet cords. If you check on some of the bigger suppliers, they have every shape and strength you could want. You'd most likely want a cylindrical shape which is common. Check supermagnetman.com or
