Anybody tried this yet? I first tried a paper plate, and the dry erase marker acted as a permanent marker. Next I tried my wooden desk. The dry erase marker rubs off fine, but did not behave as in the gif on Andy's web site. (No motion.) And if it works at all, what surface is practical for Andy's t...

Steranko on Cards has a routine (Fantasy Card Routine) that makes use of the faces being offset. He mentions the backs version, but his exploits the faces.

Thanks, Joe, these are wonderful. I'm surprised that this is the first I have heard of John Lenahan. His delivery and sense of humor are so similar to that of Harry Anderson. (That's a good thing.) I also really enjoy the opening and closing credits.

Hi, Ian. I had a similar but less creepy experience. At a funeral for a young cousin's grandma, I learned that the kid was interested in magic, so I sent him a book via Amazon. Unfortunately, he had previously used his dad's credit card and ordered a couple of hundred dollars worth of Pokemon cards....

Just for the record, does anyone remember what tricks So Sato performed at the Genii convention? I mainly remember the Follow the Leader trick. Richard? All in all, the show was a close-up highlight.

I like it too, but be careful. The text refers to the left hand holding the deck etc. but the photo shows the right hand holding it. The instructions are reversed relative to the photos. (I think!)

Just finished reading the Harry Potter play. It's a nice tight story, and it was fun to try to link Randy's article to the magic in the lines and stage directions. Love to see this play! (Perhaps Stan will surprise us by flying the cast over for MAGIC Live.)

Also, Mike, unless the rules have changed recently (Dustin?), brunch is different from normal evenings. Even if you have a guest card, a member must phone and make the reservation for you. It can be made in your name and secured with your credit card number, but the member needs to set it up for you.

I've been catching up on the original Maverick series on cable with James Garner, Jack Kelly, and Roger Moore. Fun to see budding actors such as Troy Donahue, Robert Redford, and Adam West and, boy, do I ever still love Connie Stevens. Lots of glamorized poker games, elaborate scams, etc.
