You know what we need is some type of Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative. That would protect everyone. Copyright owners and creative "derivative artists." Yeah, some type of Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative. That might just be the ticket. Sorry, I digress. What ...

Elliott -- you have just learned an important lesson in starting an interenet thread. If you don't know what kind of answers you are going to get, don't ask the questions. It is very difficult to put the fertilizer back into the cow. Then why ask questions at all, right? I posted here because I fou...

Re: Creativity and the Digital Age
I'm not sure I like where this is headed. I have not seen the numbers on this, but I would imagine that most people are not to terribly concerned about copyright law when they're watching a video like the one above or those referenced in Lessig's lecture. Yes, youtube does advertise. Perhaps youtube...

Re: Creativity and the Digital Age
I know nothing about the man. I have no copyrighted material to steal so I suppose that I am commenting from the point of view of a layman. I didn't think he was suggesting creative people work for free in this lecture, but I can see how that may be the natural course of things(many pros have to com...

I was disappointed when Mark Lewis got banned from the Genii Forum because he seemed to have some solid thinking about magic and pitching. He also cracked me up! I'm looking forward to the new book!
Congratulations Mark Lewis!

Re: The REAL Secrets of Magic ! ! !
It's all deceptive and salesman-y. Not trying to ruffle any feathers but, I guess I'm just sick of sales letters. I mean I'm almost certain that it produced some results and me posting here is probably going to get a couple of hits on the link. Fine and good. Capitalism rules, but... I would have ch...

Does this still have value?
I have a first edition copy of The Dance by Brad Henderson. I understand that the book has been reprinted and was curious if the book still has the same high monetary value. It is one of my favorite books on cold reading, however I get the impression that it's past high ticket price had more to do w...
