Re: This Week's Big Magic News in The UK

Ooh, Debbie survives the dance off this week and makes it through to week 10 - very close though.

Meanwhile, Erdnase remains elusive...

I’ve ordered a copy and am very much looking forward to receiving it - Magicana always produce a top quality product. This Week's Big Magic News in The UK

Debbie McGee is through to Week 6 of BBC's Strictly Come Dancing and was the highest scorer in this week's show.

Other than that it has been a pretty quiet week here on the magic front.

I understand that they still have the original footage filmed at the time using 4K HD cameras.

Apparently they have spent the last few decades trying to degrade the video quality to match the poor quality of the photographs in the reprinted edition.

I certainly wasn't making light of DC's collection, Richard, merely wondering if some of the 'super-collectors' will ultimately face the same dilemma as the little guys. Possibly, possibly not. To some, the acquiring and possessing is the key motivation - see some of the examples given above - what ...

It's a great post by Diego - I have built up a modest magic library over the years (in reality, very small beer compared to the many voracious collectors out there) and have often wondered 'what's the point?', 'what is to be done with it?', 'is now the time for it to contract rather than expand furt...

I have a number of books
- that have poorly designed or 'flimsy' slipcases
- have damaged slipcases
- that I'd like to have slipcases for

I guess I could ask a bookbinder to make me a few custom made ones however I'm guessing it would be prohibitively expensive.

Slipcases always!

Shrink wrap always!

Bubble wrap / packing always!

Nothing annoys more than a book with dents and dings - unavoidable in the pre-owned market but inexcusable when buying new.
